BI search connectors are based on BI queries. These can be called across different systems (see Search Connector).

Note Note

The quality of the data delivered from BI to Business Context Viewer (BCV) depends on the characteristics defined in the BI query.

If you do not use all characteristics of the BI InfoCube in your BI query, the system performs an aggregation of characteristics in BI.

Prerequisites

You can define new BI search connectors if the following applies:

  • You have defined BI queries.

  • You have to release the BI query to be able to access BI queries as a data provider. To release BI queries, in SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, you must select the Allow External Access to this Query checkbox under Start of the navigation path BEx Query Designer Next navigation step Query Next navigation step Properties Next navigation step Advanced End of the navigation path.

  • You have configured the RFC destinations for the systems to be called.

  • You have assigned the previously created RFC connection to the new logical system.
