You can use this iView as an overview and entry screen for resource availability across multiple roles and projects. A typical user for this application is the responsible resource manager for a given resource pool.
The resources table allows the resource manager to see all resources assigned to a resource pool. On expanding a resource, detailed data is shown for availability and total assignment, and the assignment per assigned project. On expanding a project, detailed data is shown for availability and total assignment, and the assignment per assigned role.
The resource manager has the option to either maintain availability per role in the individual periods of the dashboard or to maintain this data across a data range using the Distribution function.
This iView offers the following functions:
Hierarchical viewing and editing of resources and their projects and roles.
Editing resource availability per period.
Editing resource availability across multiple periods in distribution.
Search/filter for resources.
You can configure the resources dashboard as follows:
Show a customizable number of period columns.
Show all resource details by default.
Show all resources or force users to filter the resource list initially.
You have the authorization to view, manage, and edit resource assignment and availability in the back-end system.
You have assigned at least one resource pool to you as a resource manager under Portfolio Management
> Administration
> Resource Pools
