 Bookmark

Definition

Provides a quick link to websites, folders (or folder objects), and other collaborations.

Use

When processing a collaboration, you can create bookmarks in the following cases:

  • If you often need to access certain websites ( = folder object Bookmark )

  • If, within a collaboration, you need to access a folder or folder object from somewhere else other than where it was originally created (= function Copy as Bookmark ).

  • If you need to access a folder or folder objects from a collaboration other than your current one (= function Copy as Bookmark ).

    Note Note

You can store bookmarks that link to whole collaborations in folders. This gives you the option of grouping collaborations by your chosen criteria. For performance reasons, we recommend that you create envelope collaborations that contain bookmarks to further collaborations rather than using one single collaboration if you use large quantities of data.

    End of the note.

Example

You need to copy document XY from folder A of collaboration 1 to folder B of collaboration 2. You can use the Copy as Bookmark function to copy document XY from folder A of collaboration 1 and then you can add this bookmark to folder B of collaboration 2.
