Definition

A code or number used by a manufacturer or vendor to identify a material or part.

Use

You use manufacturer part numbers (MPNs) to specify the part number that a specific manufacturer uses for a material. You can create an MPN directly in the cFolders system or import it from a backend system. You link the MPN to an material that exists in cFolders. It is only possible to assign an MPN to one material, although a material can have multiple assigned MPNs.
