Function documentationHeader Data Display for Linked Object

 

You can display the header data of a linked object directly on the detail screen of an item or initiative without having to call up an application in the target system.

Prerequisites

You have done the following:

  • You have selected the Read Data checkbox in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management under Start of the navigation path Portfolio Management Next navigation step Base System Interfaces Next navigation step Application Object Settings Next navigation step Define Object Link Types Next navigation step Settings for Object Link Type End of the navigation path. To display the detail screen for an object type where you can select the Read Data checkbox, double-click an entry.

  • You have defined the frames and fields to be displayed in the header data in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management under Start of the navigation path Portfolio Management Next navigation step Base System Interfaces Next navigation step Application Object Settings Next navigation step Define Object Link Types End of the navigation path in the following views:

    • Fields per Object Type

    • Frames per Object Type

    • Start of the navigation path Frames per Object Type Next navigation step Fields per Frame End of the navigation path

Activities

  1. On the details screen of the required item or initiative, select the Relationships view and then the Object Links subview. The system displays all existing object links for this item or initiative.

  2. In the Identification column, select the link of the object whose data you want to display. The system displays the fields of the object that have been configured in a separate window.
