Private Work Area A virtual view of a team project (collaboration) in cFolders that is viewed by partners, for example, suppliers.
Private work areas only exist in the competitive scenario. It is a copy of the public area that is automatically created when you create a collaboration, but has authorizations, which you assign manually, that control who has access.
cFolders is based on an area and folder matrix. An area is a virtual view of the collaboration that is designed for a particular participant.
There are two types of area in a competitive scenario, a public area for the initiator of the collaboration and private work areas for the bidders.
Private work areas are the environments where your competitors are active.
You can create any number of private work areas. When you create a work area it is an exact copy of the public area. The only exception is the authorizations. Authorizations must be assigned manually. Objects (with the exception of folders) that you create in the public area after creating a work area are not copied to the work area automatically. Any object created or deleted in the public area after a work area has been created must be manually copied or deleted in the work area.
For more information about assigning authorizations to private work areas, see Authorizations in the Competitive Scenario .
