Function Bar of the Engineering Client Viewer The menu guide within the ECL Viewer is in English only.
When you call up the ECL Viewer, the
Navigation Modes
menu bar is displayed as standard. You can call up the
Redlining Modes
and
Measurement Modes
menu bars in the menu
Tools
B
Redlining
or
Tools

Measurement
, if you need them. To make the individual grayed out redlining or measurement pushbuttons available, first choose the pushbutton
Enable Redlining
or
Enable Measurement
.
The
Preferences
pushbutton lets you select the form of your choice, such as the colors for your selections, and the font type and size.
To display or hide your redlining model or your markup layer, in the overview tree of the ECL Viewer choose the circle near the object to be displayed. This circle is displayed in black when the object is displayed.
If you hold the mouse pointer over a pushbutton for longer than one second, the function of the button appears as a tool tip.
Other users as well as you can enter comments in text or drawing form (
Markups
) to the redlining document in additional
Layers
. The system saves these layers in separate files, so that your original document is
not
overwritten. For more information on
Markups
and
Layers
, see
Redlining
.
The available processing functions for layers depend on the file formats that the viewer supports. For more information on the file formats supported by the ECL Viewer, see Engineering Client Viewer .
You can perform various types of measurements, such as interval measurements, for the redlining document.
For files that require calibrating, as most raster images do, you can select the function
Tools -> Measurement -> Calibrate Vector
or
Calibrate Raster
from the ECL Viewer menu.
