You can use the side panel of the Business Context Viewer (BCV) to display the resource assignment information in a given time frame. The displayed data is distributed over periods. The following graphics are available:

  • Role Staffing

    Displays all resource assignments of the selected role with the assigned effort. The assigned effort is displayed in a stacked column chart in which each color represents a single staffing.

  • Role Demand

    Displays the aggregated values for the remaining demand including soft bookings, the remaining demand excluding soft bookings, and the total demand of the selected role. Each value is represented by a single bar per time frame.

  • Business Partner Staffing

    Displays all role assignments for the selected business partner. This can also include role assignments from other projects. The assigned effort is displayed in a stacked column chart in which each color represents a single staffing.

  • Business Partner Availability

    Displays the aggregated values for total availability, remaining availability including soft bookings, and remaining availability excluding soft bookings for a selected resource.

  • Comparison of Planned vs. Confirmed Data for Role/Task

    Displays the planned versus the confirmed time for a task in a column chart containing one column for the planned time and one column for the confirmed time. The sum of all task-role assignments is displayed on the y-axis: the task is displayed on the x-axis.

  • Confirmed Times of Business Partner

    Displays the confirmed data of a business partner per task in a single column

The system transfers the time unit from the object for which the Business Context Viewer should be displayed. The period type (weekly or monthly) is derived from the project header.

Note Note

You can use the BAdI DPR_BCV_RES to define your own settings for the BCV display.

Prerequisites

You can only display a comparison of planned and confirmed times for a role if you are using a role-based confirmation scenario.
