You might have roles that you used in direct staffing that you want to synchronize to the extended staffing process. You use this transaction to make these roles available for the extended staffing process.

Prerequisites

  • You are using the staffing process.

  • You have changed the role that you want to make available for the extended staffing process in Customizing for Project Management, by choosing Start of the navigation path Resource Management Next navigation step Basic Settings for Roles Next navigation step Define Role Types. Activities

You run the report for synchronizing project roles from the SAP menu, by choosing Start of the navigation path Project Management Next navigation step Tools Next navigation step Synchronize Roles with Staffing Process End of the navigation path.

You can also run this report from Customizing for Project Management, by choosing Start of the navigation path Resource Management Next navigation step Basic Settings for Roles Next navigation step Synchronize Roles to Staffing Type End of the navigation path.

You select the client(s) on which the report is run. The report:

  • Synchronizes all roles on the specified client(s) that were changed in the Customizing activity Define Roles for Project Type so that these roles are available for the staffing process.

  • Sets the status of the synchronized roles to Staffing in Preparation.

The report only supports the change from direct staffing to the staffing process. There is no automated method to return a role from the staffing process to direct staffing.
