You use this iView as an overview and entry screen for project and role staffing and resource assignment across multiple roles, projects, and resources. A typical user for this application is the responsible resource manager or the staffing manager for a given project.

The staffing table allows the resource manager to see all projects, their roles, and resources assigned to the roles. When you expand a project, the system displays the detailed data for demand and total assignment and the assignment per role. When you expand a role, the system displays detailed data per assigned resource.

The resource manager has the option of either maintaining assignment per resource in the individual periods of the table, or maintaining this data across a data range using the Distribution function. You can also use this iView to search or filter for projects.

You can use the following functions:

  • Hierarchical viewing and editing of projects, roles, and their assigned resources

  • Editing role assignment per period

  • Editing role assignment across multiple periods in distribution

  • Search for/filter projects

You can configure the staffing table as follows:

  • Show a customizable number of period columns

  • Show all projects details by default

  • Show all projects or force users to first filter the projects list

Prerequisites

You have the authorization to view, manage, and edit role assignment and project staffing in the back-end system.
