 Display of Pending Engineering Changes

Use

During engineering change collaboration, you or your partner constantly review, approve, and implement engineering changes. You can use this function to view an overview of all engineering change numbers (ECNs) in a collaboration, without having to search for each one individually. This enables you or your external business partner to have an overview of the current status of the engineering changes for which you are responsible.

Prerequisites

  • You have set the Disp. ECN indicator in Customizing for Collaboration Folders under Start of the navigation path Basic Settings for cFolders Next navigation step Set Up Display Options End of the navigation path .

  • You have set the Display Engineering Change Numbers indicator in the settings in cFolders on the Layout tab page.

Activities

From the collaboration overview screen, you choose the View All ECNs pushbutton. The system searches for all ECNs in the collaboration for which the user performing the search has at least read authorization and displays them on the overview screen. On this screen you have the following options:

  • Filter the ECNs by status, change type, alert, or priority

    You can view the status of ECNs to see whether requested engineering changes have been implemented.

  • Drilldown to the ECN and work on it

  • Export an individual ECN as a Product Data eXchange (PDX) package
