Distributed Content Servers In the standard system, data in cFolders is stored in the Knowledge Provider (KPro) in SAP Web Application Server. However, if cFolders users are distributed in different geographical locations, you can use more than multiple, distributed content servers to store the cFolders data. Allowing each user to select the content server on which they want to save cFolders data provides the following benefits:
It optimizes the network environment and decreases network traffic.
It promotes considerably faster connections.
It reduces the load on the cFolders basis system by executing the file transfer on another server.
and choosing the relevant content server from the
Fileserver
dropdown box.
For more information about distributed content servers, see the configuration guide for cFolders in SAP Solution Manager.
If you have set the
Internet Access Allowed
indicator on the
Network
tab page under
Network Administration
, cFolders users can only use one of the configured content servers and must work directly with this server when transferring files.
