Permissions Report 

Use

This report displays which permissions users have for objects in KM repositories. You can search for objects with their own access control lists (ACLs), with inherited ACLs, or without ACLs.

Scope

Parameters	Description
Storage Location	You can restrict the report to certain repositories or folders (including all subordinate folders). Specify all repositories and folders that are to be searched.
Maximum Results	The system terminates the search when it has found the corresponding number of items.

 

Parameters

Parameters	Description
With Explicit Permissions	Displays all items with their own ACLs.
With Inherited Permissions	Displays all items that inherit ACLs but do not have their own.
Without Permissions	Displays all items that do not inherit ACLs or have their own. If an item neither inherits an ACL nor has its own ACL, all users have full access to it.
With Names	Specifies whether the user name is to be displayed in addition to the user ID.

 

This report offers no commands that you can apply automatically to objects found.

 

Results List

The results list displays all items that meet your selection criteria. The permissions owners are displayed for each item, as are all users that have permissions for the item.

If a user is a permission owner he or she automatically has full access permissions.

If you click on an item name in the results list, you reach the Details dialog box of the item in question. You can change the permissions there.
