Copying and Pasting Search Queries 

Use

You can copy a search query that you have defined for a category to the clipboard. You can then paste it into another category. This is useful if you have several categories with similar content, meaning that you wish to change the search query only slightly.

Features

The Taxonomy Query Builder has its own clipboard that enables the copying and pasting of search queries. The clipboard is iView-specific and only allows copying and pasting within this particular iView.

Copying and pasting entire search queries.

You can use the Copy button to copy the entire search query for a category to the clipboard.

You can use the Paste button to insert the contents of the clipboard into another category.

If conditions have already been defined for the target category, they are now overwritten by the contents of the clipboard.

Copying part of a search query and enhancing it

This function is only available in the advance view. Choose Actions ® Copy to copy part of a search query to the clipboard.

Choose Actions ® Insert to insert the contents of the clipboard at the current position.  If conditions have already been defined for the target category, they are not overwritten.
