Resetting Folder Settings 

Use

The iView Folder Settings is used for resetting the presentation of folders. You can reset layout settings that a particular user has made, or the layout settings prescribed for all users, to the standard layout set or another layout profile or layout set. This may be necessary if the layout has been configured incorrectly so that the link to the Details dialog box is no longer displayed, meaning that users cannot modify the display of the folder in the normal way.

You can also use this iView to prescribe a new layout centrally for all users without users having to modify the folder settings themselves.

       1.      To call up the iView Folder Settings, choose Content Administration ® KM Content in the portal. Then choose Toolbox ® Folder Settings from the detailed navigation area.

 

       2.      Select the folder whose settings you want to check and then reset. You can also define whether the subfolders should also be checked and whether personalization should be checked for all users or for one user in particular.

 

       3.      To start the check, choose Apply Filter.

 

       4.      If folders with modified settings are found, they are displayed in a table. The columns of the table contain the name of the folder in question, the name of the iView in which the folder is integrated, and the name of the superordinate object (for example, a page or role) in which the iView is integrated.

 

       5.      Select the folders whose settings you want to reset and then choose Restore Defaults.

 

Result

You have reset the folder settings to the default value.
