Standard Search Dialog Box 

Use

The standard search dialog box is used for displaying the search. You can set the components and search options to be used for displaying the standard search dialog box.

 

Integration

You can start the search using the following commands as well as from the search field in the portal header. For an overview of the commands and their configuration, see Commands Relating to the Search Dialog Box.

 

Features

You enter a set of search components and a set of search options in the configuration of the standard search options.

Parameters for the Standard Search Dialog Box

Parameters	Required	Description

Search Options Set	Yes	Search options set to be used by default in the search dialog box (see Search Options).

 

Activities

There are the following ways of configuring the search dialog box:

·        To configure the standard search dialog box, choose Content Management ® User Interface ® Search ® Default Search Dialog Box.

·        You can specify sets in the iView properties of the KM search iView.

·        In the parameter Parameters in the configuration of the commands used to call up the search, you can specify the sets to be used (see Commands Relating to the Search Dialog Box).

 

The settings for a command have highest priority and override all other settings. The settings for an iView override configuration settings, which have the lowest priority.
