Portfolio reviews are part of a company’s business planning process. They can take place annually, bi-annually, quarterly or ad-hoc – e.g. when a certain item has reached a certain decision point.
Portfolio reviews enable portfolio managers to make fact-based decisions. The portfolio items within a review are evaluated and compared within scoreboards.
A review is set up for a certain date, has a certain type and status. Portfolio items are added to the review and the decision making stakeholders are assigned to the review with certain authorizations (read/write).
A review consists of a selected set of portfolio items.
