Definition

A collection is a given set of portfolio items. Collections represent e.g. initiatives or programs within the portfolio planning.

 

Use

A collection has its own reporting cockpit to enable portfolio managers to monitor the performance of the collection.

 

Structure

A collection contains selected portfolio items (which can be defined by the portfolio manager).

 

Integration

A collection defines a subset of items and offers a way of structuring items that is different to the hierarchy of buckets. It can contain items from different buckets.
