Approval Status of a Document 
You can track the status of a document and the progress of the approval process at any point.
The following information is displayed in the Details dialog box for a document:
· Current status of the document
· List of approval steps
This list displays the steps that the document must go through in order to be approved. You can see which people have already approved the document.
This list is only available during the approval process of the document.

When you send a document to be approved, the system creates a copy of the list of approval steps as defined in the folder. Changing this list has no effect on approval processes that are already in progress.
To display the list of approval steps for a document, choose Settings ® Approval in the Details dialog box for the document in question. You can only display the list – you cannot change it.
