Purpose

You create a query-based taxonomy in order to be able to classify documents on the basis of search queries (see Structure linkClassification (Classifying Documents).

Process Flow

You have two options when you create a query-based taxonomy:

·        Creating a new folder hierarchy

You want to create a query-based taxonomy and corrsponding folder structure from scratch. That is, you do not want to use an existing folder hierarchy for the taxonomy.

·        Using an existing folder hierarchy

You want to create a query-based taxonomy based on an existing folder hierarchy.

Create an index

Assign data sources to the index

a) Creating a new folder hierarchy

b) Using an existing folder hierarchy

Create the root nodes of the folder hierarchy

Copy an existing folder hierarchy

Create the categories of the folder hierarchy

Define the categories of the taxonomy using queries

Result: A taxonomy is created.
