You use thumbnails (miniature graphics with low resolution) in Collaboration Folders (cFolders) to obtain a preview of your potentially numerous cFolders objects that provides you with a visual impression of the content of that object. A file preview of this kind offers a quick method of differentiating between objects particularly if there are large numbers of them.
You have write authorization for the object for which you want to create, change, or delete a thumbnail.
You have set the Display Thumbnails indicator under Settings → General tab page → Special Functions so that the system displays the thumbnails.
Thumbnails are available for the objects folder, material, and document on the detail page (folder) or the overview page (material, document) of the relevant object.
You can show or hide thumbnails by selecting or deselecting the Display Thumbnails indicator under Settings → General tab page → Special Functions.
You can create, change, and delete thumbnails for an object.
To create a thumbnail, upload a picture from your local hard disk or a network server.
Check whether your web browser supports the file format of your picture (for example, *.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif, and so on).
