Function documentation URI Mapper Service Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This service assigns URIs to GUIDs (globally unique identifiers). It is required to ensure that resources and relevant metadata can be retrieved correctly even if the resource URIs change, for example, when documents are moved to another folder.

Features

Generally, resources in KM are identified and accessed on the basis of their URIs. To ensure that resources can still be identified and accessed when their URIs change, these URIs are mapped to GUIDs. The mappings are made in a database.

Activities

The URI mapper service is activated in the KM standard configuration. No further configuration is necessary.

To call up the URI mapper service configuration, choose Content Management ® Global Services ® URI Mapper Service.
