Checkout Service 
Use
The checkout service is used by the system to create and delete items in the universal worklist.
Prerequisites
The inbox service is activated.
Features
If a user chooses Edit Locally to edit a document, the checkout service generates an entry in the universal worklist. As soon as the edited document is reloaded to the server, the checkout service deletes the corresponding object from the universal worklist.
