Use

Actions for status transition are:

·        Status actions

·        User-defined actions for status transitions (BAdI)

These status actions are executed as soon as a status transition takes place for which concrete actions have been defined (notifications or other actions).

For more information about user-defined actions for status transitions (BAdI), see the section Overview of BAdIs Available in cFolders in the cFolders Configuration Guide on SAP Service Marketplace under service.sap.com/instguides Installation and Upgrade Guides mySAP Business Suite Solutions mySAP PLM Using cProject Suite 3.10.

Prerequisites

You have created a status profile with multiple statuses and at least one status transition. You have created a status action for the status transition.

You have created user-defined actions for the status transition, if applicable.

The status of an object, to which this status profile has been assigned, has changed from the current status to the subsequent status. In other words, the status transition, for which a status action or user-defined action has been created, has taken place.

Activities

The system sends a status action as soon as the relevant status transition has taken place.

The status action contains either a text generated by the system (Automatic Text Generation) or one generated manually by you (Manual Text Generation); in other words, you can choose between sending an automatic status action or a manual status action.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

If you have changed the status of objects in a mass status change and you have created a manual status action, you can, if necessary, adapt this status action before it is sent.

The system executes any existing user-defined actions as soon as the relevant status transition has taken place. The system transfers all affected objects so that the BAdI implementation handles all the objects in the same way.
