Create New Item (Multiple Items) 

Use

This view allows you to simultaneously create multiple new item objects. Certain fields are populated for all the new items, and later you can enter data in the remaining fields in the Item Overview view.

Items must be created in a bucket at the lowest level of a hierarchy. A bucket and an item cannot co-exist in the same bucket.

Prerequisites

·        You have selected an existing bucket in the first view of Create New Item (Select Bucket).

·        You have selected that you want to create multiple items.

·        You have chosen the item type from the dropdown list.

Features

Here, you provide general information about the item.

Field	Status	Explanation
Item Type	Mandatory	This has been specified in the previous screen. You may change it if necessary.
Bucket	System Generated	The bucket is displayed based on your selection in the first screen.
Portfolio	System generated	The portfolio name is displayed based on the bucket selected.

Here you specify the name and external id, and area of the items to be created.

Click on the cell in the first row under Name to start entering data as described below.

Field	Status	Explanation
Name	Mandatory	Specify the name of the item. This is an alphanumeric field
External Id	Mandatory	This is an unique identifier. Enter an alphanumeric ID.
Area	Mandatory	Geographical area.
Item Type	Mandatory	Select the Item type from the drop down list.  You may select different item type for each item being added.

The table displays 10 rows. To add more than 10 items, specify the incremental number in the Add More Rows field and click OK.
