With this Web application, you can upload project data from a Microsoft Project file, from Microsoft Project Server, to the current item. You may choose to upload:
· Only the tasks
· Only the resources
· Or, tasks, resources and resource assignments.
To navigate to this iView, choose Portfolio Management → Portfolio Management → Item Dashboard. Select an item and then click the Upload/Download Project Data in the navigation panel. This opens the Upload/Download Project Data iView.

To upload data from Microsoft Project server, you do the following:

1. You select the Upload from Project radio button.
2. You select Microsoft Project Server 2003 from the drop down list in the Application field.
3. You fill in the other fields as follows:

4. You click Upload to start the process. The system uploads the specified file and displays the results.
5. You click Save Upload to make the upload permanent and create a history log.
Uploading may be repeated as desired.
The system maintains a log of uploads/downloads. The table displays the log number the system has generated and the date of the upload. You may select the log entry and click Delete to remove the log entry. This does not affect that data which has been uploaded.
When you have clicked the binocular icon in the Select a Project Template field, the system displays the Object Links Search view for the object type for Microsoft Project Server 2003.
To search for a project, a full text search is available.

1. Search for the projects under a project manager. Wild card search is not allowed.
2. Click Search to display the projects for the project manager in the table below.
3. Click on the box to the left of the project, from the displayed list, to identify the project.
4. Click Done to select the project.
