You can edit the objects in the project and collaboration structures using a number of different functions. For an overview of the objects you can edit using these functions, see Editing Functions for Project and Collaboration Structures.
The WebDAV interface of the cProjects or cFolders repository does not support all the functions that are provided on the user interface of the WebDAV application.
The following table displays an overview of the functions you can execute via the WebDAV interface.
Function |
Details |
Create |
You can create an object (for example, a folder or document) below a project element or folder. You cannot create a folder or document directly below a collaboration or work area. |
Change |
You can extend an existing structure by creating a new object. You can edit and save an existing document. This process creates a new version of the document in the cProjects or cFolders repository. You cannot change any attributes (status, description, and so on). |
Delete |
You delete an object. When you delete a
folder, the system ignores the locks placed on the subdocuments. |
Rename |
You can rename
root folders, folders, and documents. |
Copy (to an external system) |
You use a WebDAV client to copy an object from a cProjects or cFolders repository to an external system (for example, a local file system). The WebDAV client first loads all the folders and files that are to be copied. It then writes them to the target system one by one. |

Lock |
You can lock documents. To do this, you need at least write authorization for the document. Note the information under Delete. |
