Installing the Portal Drive Client 
The portal drive is a desktop application that must be installed on each computer where it will be used. To install the portal drive, the user must have administrator rights on the computer. Once the portal drive has been installed, the user does not need administrator rights to use the software.

1. Your administrator should provide you a link to the installer. Begin the installation by clicking on the portal drive executable link.
2. Select Run this program from its current location in the File Download dialog.
When the security warning dialog appears, select Yes to install and run the installation program.

You may also choose to download the installation program to your local hard drive and run it from there. After downloading, double-click on the installer to begin installation.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
At the end of the installation process, you will have to restart your computer.
4. After finishing installation, you can connect a drive.

The portal drive software is backward-compatible and, therefore, installing the latest version over a previous version will save your setup information. To upgrade, follow the installation instructions above.

2. Scroll down to Portal Drive and select the Add/Remove button.
3. Reboot your computer to complete the process.
