Adding Objects as a Copy 

Use

You can add a content object to another object as a copy. In contrast to delta links, this means that the copied object no longer has a reference to the object from which it was copied. For more information see Copies.

The following objects can be added to roles and worksets as a copy:

●     Worksets

●     Pages

●     iViews

●     Page and iView templates

       1.      Open the role or workset in the respective editor.

       2.      Select the folder in the hierarchy of the role or workset to which you want to add an object.

       3.      In the tree structure of the Portal Catalog, right-click the object that you want to add to the role or workset and choose Add <Object> to Role/Workset ® Copy.

The object is added to the role or workset as a copy.

You can only see whether an object was added as a copy or as a delta link in the properties of the linked object. Copies only have the property PCD Location where the ID of the object to which the object was copied is stored. Delta links also have the property com.sap.portal.pcd.gl.xfs.dl.TargetUrl.
