You can set down the qualifications required for a project role or a particular task.
You define
qualifications for tasks in the Projects initial view on the
Structure tab page in the task definition → Qualifications or in the Tasks
initial view on the Qualifications tab page.

You define qualifications for project roles in the Projects initial view on the Resources tab page under Qualifications. See Defining Qualifications.
Qualifications you have already defined are displayed in the resource search and are used as selection criteria for finding suitable resources. See Selection According to Qualifications.
To be able to select qualifications, you must have defined the qualifications catalog in Customizing. To do this, perform the activities in Customizing for Collaboration Projects under Resource Management → Qualification Management → Edit Qualifications Catalog.
To be able to define proficiencies for the qualifications, you must have defined scales in Customizing. To do this, perform the activities in Customizing for Collaboration Projects under Resource Management → Qualification Management → Edit Scales.
The qualifications catalog represents all qualifications that you can assign to roles or tasks.
The Qualification Requirements group box displays the qualifications that are already assigned to the role or task. You can create new qualifications.
You can define the following attributes for each qualification:
● If the selected qualification is an essential prerequisite, you can flag it as a mandatory qualification.
The resource search then only selects resources that have this qualification.
● You can define the necessary proficiency for each qualification.
In the resource search, the system calculates a resource’s suitability percentage from the difference between the required proficiency of a qualification and the degree to which the resource fulfills this.
You can delete qualifications at any time. See Deleting Qualifications.
