Template Service 

Use

This service enables the creation of new documents based on templates.

 

Integration

As a content manager, you can determine which templates can be used for a folder. For more information, see Templates.

 

Features

The service supports the following objects as templates:

●     Folders

●     Documents

●     Links

Several templates are grouped together in a template group. In a template group, you can also create links to existing templates, for example, to prevent double maintenance of templates.

In the configuration, you enter the paths that lead to the locations where the templates and template groups are stored. If they do not already exist, create the folders for these paths before entering them.

Template Service Parameters

Parameter	Required	Description
Path to Template Groups	Yes	Specifies the path that contains the templates groups. Default setting: /documents/Templates/TemplateGroups
Path to Templates	Yes	Specifies the path that contains the templates. Default setting: /documents/Templates/SingleTemplates

 

Activities

The template service is preconfigured and activated in the standard KM configuration.

To call up the configuration for the template service, choose Content Management ® Global Services ® Template Service.
