The function Transaction Viewer (TAV) belongs to Loss Prevention Analytics (LPA). In LPA, you create customer-specific identification patterns, using which the system identifies critical POS transactions, and updates these transactions. A pattern can identify discounts that are too high, for example.

In the Transaction Viewer (TAV), you can display additional and more detailed information for one of these critical POS transactions. This includes:

  • Payment methods

  • Relevant data for loyalty programs

  • Identification pattern that identified the transaction as critical

  • Line items with the discounts earned, the totals of which are reported separately

The predecessor transaction and subsequent transaction, in relation to the cashier, can also be displayed.

Integration

The function Transaction Viewer is integrated into LPA.

Prerequisites

You can only use the Transaction Viewer within LPA. You can only use LPA if you also use SAP POS Data Management (SAP POS DM).

As a user, you need the portal role Loss Prevention Officer. For more information, see   https://help.sap.com/bicontent   BI Content Version   Application Help   Industry Solutions   Trading Industries   Retail Trade   Store Analytics   Loss Prevention Analytics   Roles  .

Features

The function Transaction Viewer is divided into three areas: Transaction Header Information, Transaction Line Items, and Transaction Line Item Details. The following information is available in the individual areas:

Transaction header information
  • The actual header information, such as transaction number, cashier, POS number; this includes the totals (sales, discount, taxes)

  • Information about loyalty programs in which the customer is participating

  • The identification pattern that identified the POS transaction as critical (area Active Pattern)

  • The payment means that the customer used, especially in the case of a (credit/debit) card or foreign currency (area Tender Details)

Transaction line items
  • Sales item number and sales item type, material group, sales quantity, actual retail value

Transaction line item details
  • Discount information, including type, discount value, and discount identification

Using modification-free enhancements (BAdI implementation), your system administrators can enhance the available SAP List Viewer tables with other customer-specific information, or change the way they are displayed. This BAdI is also available for modification-free enhancements of the Web Dynpro itself.

For more information, see Extensibility of Transaction Viewer.

Activities

The function Transaction Viewer is called by the Journal Viewer, or from the LPA portal.

  • Paging: You can go to the next or previous POS transaction that was carried out on the same day, in the same store, and by the same cashier. To do so, choose the pushbutton Previous or Next.

  • Journal Viewer: You can call up the journal viewer to display all previous and subsequent transactions for a critical POS transaction. To do so, choose the corresponding pushbutton (beneath the header). The setting you made for whether the transactions are selected for the same cashier or the same POS is transferred.

  • To organize the transaction listing in the journal by cashier or POS number, select the corresponding radio button (to the far right, beneath the header). You can use Settings to preset this selection.

  • Changing the column display: You can use Settings to change the type and number of displayed columns in each area.

  • All tables offer the options to filter or configure columns (for example, display sequence, hiding/displaying columns), as in SAP List Viewer for Web Dynpro.

  • Displaying credit card information in the area Tender Details: You can only perform this activity if you have the correct authorization (authorization object B_CCSEC). If a credit card was used in a transaction, and the data is encrypted, you can click the link for the (masked) credit card number to display more information about it. The system encrypts the information for this reason. However, you cannot print or export lists of credit card information.

  • Printing: In the Settings for SAP List Viewer (tab page Display), you can increase the number of displayed table rows. This enables you to see more/all information from the respective table, in the printout from your browser's print function.
