Function documentation Resubmission  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can resubmit elements that should be processed at a later date, or processed at regular intervals either for yourself, or for an employee.

Integration

Elements that you set to resubmission for yourself are automatically sent to the folder For Resubmission in the worklist on your electronic desk. Elements you set to resubmission for other employees are sent to the folder Resubmission for Others. They only remain in the folder until the resubmission date is reached. Then the elements are displayed in the folder Resubmissions (To be Processed) of the responsible processor.

You can also create a list of resubmissions according to different selection criteria (such as user or resubmission date) in the work area Resubmission. You can process the list (export, print, send) and the resubmission (set to completed, or change the resubmission date).

Prerequisites

SAP delivers a template for resubmissions that are to be carried out at regular intervals.

If you want to use resubmission templates, you have to create them in Customizing of Records and Case Management, then activate and implement the Business Add-In Calculate Resubmission Date from Template (RMPS_RESUB_BADI).

You can find more information on this in the implementation guide of Records and Case Management under Basic Settings Resubmissions.

Activities

To resubmit an element, select the element in the History or in your worklist and choose Resubmission. A screen appears for making the entries required.

You can define the resubmission date by entering a time period in days, weeks or months and the system calculates the resubmission date. Alternatively, you can enter the resubmission date directly. In addition to this date, you have to enter a due date and assign a priority for the resubmission. Resubmissions that have reached their due date are marked in color by the system.

To delete a completed resubmission from your resubmission folder, you have to set the status of the resubmission to Completed. If you use a resubmission template, you can only ever delete one resubmission from the series when you change the status. To complete the series, you have to delete the resubmission.
