Managing and Monitoring the Tasks 
The Manage Tasks application is part of SAP NetWeaver Administrator Operation Management. With this application, you can perform the following:
View the details of the task instances. For each task instance, you can view the corresponding process
View all task instances, task instances with an error state or with lapsed deadlines
Search for task instances using the advanced search options
Analyze the task instance details and cancel the task if required
Note
If the SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment system is registered in a central monitoring system (CCMS), the monitor for tasks within BPM processes is also exposed to CCMS.

Log on to the NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) application.

By default, the system displays the task instances in error status for last 24 hours.
You can view the task instances using one of the following options as required:
To display task instances based on the predefined queries, in the Show field, select the required option.
To display the task instances based on the basic query, choose Show Query Pane and in the Find Task Instance field enter the task instance ID and choose Go.
To display the task instances based on the advanced queries, proceed as follows:
Choose Show Query Pane.
Click Advanced and perform the following as required:
To display the task instances based on task definition, in the Find by field, select Task Definition and enter the search details.
To display the task instances based on task identity, in the Find by field, select Identity and enter the search details.
To display the task instances based on lapsed deadlines, in the Find by field, select Lapsed Deadlines and enter the search details.
Choose Go.
To view the details of a task instance, select the required entry from the list of task instances. The system displays the details of the selected task instance in different tab pages as described in the table below:

Owners |
Users responsible for processing the task. Potential Owners are the responsible users and Actual Owner is the processor of the task
You can nominate a user for a task instance. The nominated user becomes the actual user (task processor). If an actual user already exists, this existing user remains as the potential user, while the newly nominated user becomes the actual user. To nominate a user, proceed as follows:

To cancel a task manually, select the task and choose .
To view the process instance to which the task belongs, select the task and choose Show Process.
