Configuring the XI Adapter in the Integration Directory/PCK 

Use

●      You configure the XI adapter to exchange messages between Integration Engines. Both XI 3.0 and XI 2.0 message protocols are supported.

●      You also use the XI adapter to exchange messages between the Integration Server and the Partner Connectivity Kit (PCK).

●      To forward messages from the Integration Server to a business system and the ABAP proxy runtime or the AS Java and the Java proxy runtime, you must configure a communication channel with a receiver XI adapter for the technical receiver.

You can use security settings to sign messages and check the signature. You can encrypt and decrypt message payloads.

Procedure

●      To receive XML messages from a sender system, configure the sender XI adapter.

●      To send XML messages to a receiver system, configure the receiver XI adapter.

Example

●      To send messages from the Integration Server to the PCK, you configure a sender XI adapter in the PCK.

●      To send messages from the PCK to the Integration Server, you configure a receiver XI adapter in the PCK.
