Purpose
In SAP NetWeaver Portal, user management is provided by the user management engine (UME), a service of SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) Java. The portal offers a configuration task that provides most of the available configuration options. This includes such tasks as security settings for passwords, configuring e-mail notifications, and defining the data source configuration file.
