Procedure documentationModifying Service, Manager, or Application Properties Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

This procedure enables you to change the properties of a particular service, manager, or application.

Prerequisites

Start the command line Config Tool by double-clicking the consoleconfig script file in SAP_install_dir/system_name/instance_name/j2ee/configtool directory.

Procedure

From the console menu, select <Template_name> or <Instance_number>, depending on the level, on which you want to configure.

Modifying Applications
  1. Choose Applications.

  2. To only view information, choose Get Application info.

  3. Choose a vendor.

    The console displays the complete number of applications.

    • To view all the applications, press Enter

    • To view only applications that contain a particular string, enter the string.

      Caution Caution

      Do not enter any other filter signs (for example, asterisk (*)).

  4. To change properties, choose Edit Application info.

  5. Choose a vendor.

    The console displays only the applications that have properties.

  6. Choose the application you want to configure.

    • To edit the current value, choose E.

    • To reset to the default value, choose D.

    • To go to the next application, choose N.

    • To skip this menu, choose S.

  7. To save the new value, choose Apply Changes.

    Note Note

    If you want to export the configurations you made to an XML file, choose Export to XML and then choose Apply Changes.

Modifying Managers
  1. Choose Managers.

  2. To only view information, choose Get Manager info.

  3. To change properties, choose Edit Manager info.

  4. Choose the manager you want to configure.

    Information about the first property of the chosen manager appears.

    Note Note

    The configuration options are the same as for applications.

Modifying Services
  1. Choose Services.

  2. To view information only, choose Get Service info.

    The console displays the complete number of services.

    • To view all the services, press Enter.

    • To display only services that contain a particular string, enter the string.

      Caution Caution

      Do not enter any other filter signs (for example, asterisk (*)).

  3. To change properties, choose Edit Service info.

    The console displays the number of only those services that have properties.

    • To view all the services, press Enter

    • To view only services that contain a particular string, enter the string.

  4. Choose a service to configure.
