In the modeling environment you can create and analyze models, and evaluate model content.

This section explains how to use the modeling environment. This information is in addition to the modeling guide which describes the methodology of modeling.

Procedure

Starting the modeling environment and adjusting it to meet your requirements

You can start the modeling environment by creating a new model or by opening an existing model. The ES Repository models are located under the relevant software component version in the navigation area under Modeling.

Symbols bar: Consists of various symbols that are available depending on the Model Type that you have selected while creating the model. More information:

Modeling area: You can create the models in the modeling area. To create the models drag and drop the symbols into the Modeling area.

Attributes: Shows the attributes of the symbols used to create models.

Model overview: Determines which section of the model is displayed.

Occurrences: Enables quick navigation to individual object occurrences in the model.

You can adjust the modeling environment to meet your requirements in personal settings.
