Applying for an SAP License 

Use

Your installation is assigned to one SAP software product. A license is granted for exactly one SAP system based on your installation. Your contract department will provide your installation number.

Prerequisites

You have to apply for a separate license for each system. To determine your license key, we need the following data:

●      Installation number: 10 digit number assigned by SAP

●      E-mail address:  E-mail address of the requester

●      System ID: system name (C11, T11, ...)

●      SAP product: Name of SAP product (SAP NetWeaver, APO, BW, and so on)

●      Product version: Version of the operated software product

●      Hardware data: operating system, licensed database system

●      Hardware key: 11-digit hardware key for your server

●      System type: Production, Test (see appendix: System Types)

●      License type:

○       Standard (License key for ABAP installation and ABAP and Java installation)

○       J2EE Engine (for the pure AS Java installation)

○       Portal (for Enterprise Portal 6.0 systems with Support Package < 9 and for Enterprise Portal 5 systems)

○       License Server (for license server systems)

Procedure

Determine your hardware key and then request your SAP license key.
