Purpose

The Memory Inspector is a tool for analyzing memory snapshots that are saved on the application server. You use it both to display individual memory snapshots and to compare two snapshots.

To start the Memory Inspector, perform one of the following:

    In the command field of the SAP Easy Access, enter transaction code S_MEMORY_INSPECTOR.

    In any transaction, choose System  Utilities Memory Analysis Compare Memory Snapshots.

Features

The initial screen of the Memory Inspector consists of the following screen areas:

      A list of memory snapshots

In the memory snapshot list display you can open, load, save, delete, and search for memory snapshots.

      Navigation screen area

In the navigation screen area, you can choose to display specific memory objects and to display the content of the snapshots in various layouts.

      Memory objects display

In the display, you can display memory objects of a single snapshot or compare two snapshots.
