Creating and Processing Object
Sets
1. Enter a name for the object set.
2.
Choose
between
with the quick info text Local if you want the object set to be
visible only to the current user, or choose
with the
quick info text Global if you want the object set to be visible for all
users.

To be able to create an object set globally, you must have appropriate authorization.
3. Choose Create.
The system automatically assigns a version number. If the Save Selection Only checkbox is not selected, the system proposes a date when the object set should be deleted.

A set of objects cannot be deleted if it is still being used in an inspection that has not been executed or was interrupted during execution.
The Object Set screen appears.
4. Define the object set by completing the following tab pages:
...
a. Select Object Set
■ In the Object Assignment screen area, you can choose objects by their assignment to application component, package, original system, or the person responsible.
■ In the Object Selection screen area, you can select objects from the object types Class, Program, Function Group, and so on. You can also determine objects from the object repository or choose programs or includes.
b. Edit Object Set
Use the Choose Object Sets screen area to unite or intersect existing object sets, then in the Set Filter screen area you can filter them.
c. Object Set from Result
Use the tab page to create new object sets from the results of an inspection, then in the Set Filter screen area and the Message screen area you can filter them.
d. Object Set from Request
Use the tab page to create new object sets from the objects of an order or request, then in the Set Filter screen area you can filter them.
e. Object Collectors
Use generic collectors to create an object set. You can do this by loading the objects from files or from object lists of programs, such as Where-Used List, Coverage Analyzer, or Runtime Analysis. Then in the Set Filter screen area you can filter them.

On the Selection Object Set tab page and the Edit Object tab page, you can set the Save Selection Only indicator. If you set this indicator, only the selection criteria for a set of objects are saved or copied. No object list is created. The object list is created automatically when an inspection is carried out.

We recommend this procedure in case new objects are created or deleted often in the selection area of a object set, for example, in a selected package. Otherwise, use a set of objects with a fixed object list because it contains only the objects that have fulfilled the selection criteria at the time of saving.
5. Save your entries.
You have specified the object set on which your inspection is carried out.
