Use

The VM Overview (transaction SM52) provides an overview of the status of the Java virtual machines (VMs) in the VM Container (VMC) on the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS). It also allows you to manage the VM Container and the individual VMs at runtime.

Integration

The VM overview refers to the SAP instance you are logged on to. You can monitor and manage the Java VMs that share the work processes in this instance.

You can get an overview of all instances in transaction SM51 (see Overview of SAP  Application Server.

You can get an overview of all work processes in the instance you are logged on to in transaction SM50 (see Displaying and Controlling Work Processes).

Prerequisites

You understand the basic concepts and architecture of the VM Container.
