Configuring the Channel for ABAP Proxy Receivers 

Use

To forward messages from the Integration Server to a business system and to the ABAP proxy runtime, you must configure various different objects in the Integration Directory, depending on the configuration scenario (see: Configuration). You must specify a communication channel for the technical receiver.

Procedure

In the Integration Builder (Configuration), create a communication channel and specify the following parameters:

You set up the HTTP destination in the SAP system by using transaction SM59. Use the following path prefixes in the Target System Settings.

• /sap/xi/engine?type=entry
  for SAP systems based on SAP BASIS 6.40 (XI 3.0 message protocol).
• /sap/xi/engine?type=receiver
  for SAP systems based on SAP BASIS 6.20 (XI 2.0 message protocol).

Result

You have described the ABAP proxy runtime as a technical receiver for your application by using a communication channel. You can also use this channel in collaboration profiles and collaboration agreements.
