Use

You can search by the following elements on your electronic desk:

·         Case

·         Incoming Post Item

·         Document

·         Record

·         Record Plan

You receive a list with the elements that were found.

Integration

When you select an element from the hit list you can only either display or process it, depending on your authorizations.

Prerequisites

You are on the electronic desk screen in the area This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Work Environment.

Features

You can use the following options:

·        Attribute search

You can search for all attributes that are available in the input help.

You can use key words from the key word catalog to evaluate the attribute provided that you created a key word catalog in Customizing.  You can use the attribute key word in a number of ways:

·        For full-text searches

·        For combined full-text and attribute searches.

You can also:

·        Save your search query

If you often have to use the same queries for a search, you can save search queries and use them again in the selection list. Note that you only have access to the search queries you created yourself.

·        The search is limited to the current version of an element.

In the standard system, the indicator Only Current Results is set for each search query. Then only the current version of the element is displayed in the hit list. If you do not set the indicator, all versions of the element are listed in the hit list. The version number of the element is displayed in the column Version.

Activities
