Archiving Your Data 
Currently the following archiving objects and archiving sets are available specifically for XML-based data archiving in SAP NetWeaver AS:

Currently any Customizing settings you make for AS Java archiving are specific to the application that offers the archiving set. Therefore, see the corresponding documentation:

Scheduling jobs, archiving data and monitoring sessions
JAVA
Scheduling and monitoring activities in a JAVA archiving scenario can be performed using the Java Archiving Cockpit, a central administration UI. For the currently available archiving sets, the Java Archiving Cockpit can only be used to monitor archiving sessions. For scheduling, the Java Archiving Cockpit can only be used, if the archiving set supports scheduling through this UI. If not, scheduling must be performed using the application's own scheduling solution, as is the case for XI, Adaptive Computing, and Guided Procedures archiving sets.
