End of the caution.

The cache of the Advanced Adapter Engine differentiates between the following cache objects:

  • Partners

The system searches for communication parties.

The name of the party, the issuing agency, and the identification scheme are displayed on the detail screen.

  • Communication Component

This searches for communication components with or without a party.

You can use a parameter to search in advanced mode.

If the Party field is left blank, communication components with or without a party are found and displayed. However, if you enter a space, only communication components without a party are displayed.

The names of any authorized users are displayed on the detail screen.

  • Communication channel

    This searches for communication channels.

You can use the following selection criteria in advanced mode:

    • Partners

    • Communication Component

    • Direction

The detail screen displays the parameters, identifiers, and attributes for the channel. You also see the modules available for each adapter.

  • Sender agreement

To search for sender agreements, you can use the following selection criteria:

    • Sender party

    • Sender communication component

    • Interface

    • Namespace

    • Receiver party

    • Receiver communication component

In the detail view you can switch to the entries for the communication channel. Here you find the agreement attributes and the authorized users. You can display the attributes a browser.

If a Web service communication is configured in the communication channel, then the assignment (including profile) and logical ports of the server configuration (provider) are also displayed.

  • Receiver Agreement

When searching for receiver agreements, you use the same selection criteria as those used to search for sender agreements.

In the detail view you can switch to the entries for the communication channel. Here you find the agreement attributes and information about the header mapping. You can display the attributes a browser.

If a Web service communication is configured in the communication channel, then the assignment (including profile) and logical ports of the client configuration (consumer) are also displayed.

  • Adapter Metadata

The system searches for adapter metadata. You can use the following selection criteria in advanced mode:

    • Name

    • Namespace

    • Software Component

You find the adapter metadata under Attributes in the detail view. You can also call them in the browser.

  • Operation mapping

The system searches for mapping objects. You can search either for a specific mapping object by entering the name of the object in the search field, or for all mapping objects by leaving the search field empty.

In advanced mode, you can also use the namespace and the software component version as search criteria.

A list of the mapping objects found is displayed.

The detail screen displays a list of all involved request, response, and fault programs.

  • Software Component Versions

A list of all the hierarchical software component versions that were imported from the System Landscape Directory is displayed.

You can search either for a specific software component version by entering the corresponding GUID in the search field, or for all software component versions by leaving the search field empty.

You can expand each displayed hierarchy structure.

More information: Edit Software Component Versions.

  • Integrated configuration

When searching for integrated configuration objects, you use the same selection criteria as those used to search for sender or receiver agreements.

In the detail view you find the following information:

    • Inbound Processing

The software component version of the interface, the validation mode, and the inbound processing attributes. You can display the attributes (if available) in a browser. You can also switch to the entries for the communication channel.

    • Recipient

A list of the configured receivers and conditions.

If receivers are operation-specific, one or more operations are defined for the corresponding sender interface. In this case, a list of conditions and receivers for each sender interface operation is displayed.

The action that must be executed if no receiver is found is always displayed.

    • Receiver interfaces

A list of the configured receivers with receiver interfaces and mappings.

    • Outbound Processing

The assigned receiver interfaces, information about the header mapping, and the outbound processing attributes. You can display the attributes (if available) in a browser. You can also switch to the entries for the communication channel.

    • Assigned users

A list of authorized users (if available).

    • Namespace prefixes

A list of defined namespace prefixes (if available).
