License Administration at Operating System Level (New) 

Use

You can use the program saplikey to set up, check, and administer the digitally-signed license key in your AS ABAP system at operating system level. The program resides in the directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/exe/run.

You can use the saplikey program as an alternative to transaction SLICENSE. You can essentially perform the same functions using this command line program as with transaction SLICENSE. The advantage of the saplikey program is that only the database needs to be operating, and not the system, to import a valid license key into the database, for example.
