Monitoring MessagesYou use message monitoring to search for Web service messages that were sent or received on your system. You monitor messages, for example, in the following cases:
● To track the status of Web service messages
● To find errors that have occurred and establish what caused them
You have started your SAP NetWeaver Administrator and have chosen Configuration Management → Infrastructure → Web Service Configuration → Message Monitoring.
Message monitoring has two different modes for searching for Web service messages in the database:
● Standard mode
● Advanced mode
In each mode, you can restrict the number of Web service messages to be displayed.
In standard mode, you can use a particular message status to search for Web service messages that were processed within a particular time period.
...
1. Select the required message status.
2. Select the time period that the search is to cover.
3. Start the search.
In advanced mode, you can use various selection types with different selection criteria to search for messages.
...
...
1. To navigate to advanced mode, choose Advanced in standard mode.
2. Select the required selection type and enter your selection criteria.
You can Reset values selected or entered.
3. Start the search.
The system lists the selected Web service messages along with their attributes in a table.
You can refresh the table, select specific Web service messages, and:
● display the details (attributes with values) of the message
● display the content of the message
● view the audit log of the message
● terminate or resend the message
