Displaying the Message Overview 

Use

The message overview gives you an overview of message processing during a specific time period. This time period begins with the receipt of the message.

In contrast to message search, only asynchronous messages are considered for the message overview.

You can choose from three different views; each view groups the messages according to the following:

●      Sender attributes

●      Receiver attributes

●      Sender and receiver attributes

Within each of these groups, the messages are in turn grouped according to the processing status:

●      With Errors

●      Scheduled

●      Successful

●      Canceled with Errors

Each view displays the number of messages in each of the four status groups.

Prerequisites

●      If you do not want to use the message overview, you can deactivate it.

●      You have started the Runtime Workbench, are in message monitoring, and have chosen the Database (Overview) data source.

Procedure

Select a view and time period in the message overview.

The available combinations of header attributes for the view you selected are then listed.

The number of messages (if any) currently in the status groups described above is displayed for each combination.

●      To drill down the number of displayed messages for each status group according to the individual statuses for a particular combination, select the relevant line. The uppermost line is selected by default.

A table with the status group, individual status, and number of messages is displayed.

If permitted by the relevant status, you can cancel or retry all messages in that particular status. The action is executed in the background; the new values are displayed when you refresh the screen.

This may take some time, depending on how many messages are involved.

●      To drill down a line according to further header attributes, select the line and choose Detail View.

●      To display the messages in a particular status group, click the message number in the required group and line.

The system navigates to message monitoring; a list of the corresponding messages is displayed, including all underlying filter settings.

Depending on the status, you can either retry or cancel individual messages here.

●      If you want to save or display the current message overview display as a csv file, choose Export.
