Procedure documentationDefining Fixed Values Locate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You can only define fixed values for a core data type of the Code representation term if you do not reference any other core data types from the element of this core data type (but assign one of the built-in XSD types instead). Aside from this the core data type must not have any attributes.

Note Note

If you want to apply the fixed values of an existing core data type, reference this core data type. In this case, you can restrict the number of fixed values and change assignments to UI text objects in the referencing core data type.

End of the note.

Procedure

Creating Fixed Values for a Code Type Core Data Type
  1. If you have not already done so, create a data type in the ES Repository with the following properties:

    • Classification: Core Data Type

    • Representation Term: Code

  2. Choose Add/Remove Attribute (Add/Remove Attribute) and remove all core date type attributes.

  3. From the element reference a built-in XSD type and save your changes.

  4. In the fixed values table at the bottom of the data type editor, enter the fixed values for your core data type.

Transferring Another Code Data Type from Core Type

  2. Choose Add/Remove Attribute (Add/Remove Attribute) and remove all core date type attributes.

  3. From the element reference a core date type with the representation term Code, for which fixed values are already defined, save these in your changes.
